Outlook 2016 connected but not updating

Highlight your inbox and select the view tab at the top.

Next click on View Settings on the ribbon and select Filter.

A major downside of having a Connected Account is how long it takes for new emails to arrive.

It seems that it only checks for new emails once every hour, which basically renders the feature useless to me.

If you haven’t done so already, make sure that the address of your Connected Account is also added as an alias to your Microsoft Account.

This will reduce the likelihood that all forwarded messages will be marked as spam.

By forwarding the email instead of relying on to collect your emails every hour, the emails will get sent to you as soon as it arrives in the mailbox of your original ISP.

The email will then arrive in your mailbox a few seconds or, at maximum, a few minutes later.

Navigate to a contact or matter that is not showing in Outlook and check that email sync is enabled by following these steps: 1) Navigate to the missing contact/matter page2) In the about tab, click on "Sync Settings" to expand this option.3) If email sync is set to "No", edit the contact/matter and change it to "Yes".4) Click "Save".5) Click here, to sync now!

6) Wait 5-10 minutes for the Outlook Practice Panther folder to update.

Your emails should appear in the email window in the format you have just selected.

Then click on "Change View" again and choose your original format (assuming that this format is still what you want), or choose another option altogether.

If you can’t find it, it is best to contact your current provider and ask for it.
